Painted in underglaze blue and copper red with three peaches on the upper lobe and sprays of pomegranate, peach and persimmon on the lower.

The decoration of the three fruits on this vase symbolises 'triple abundance' symbolises 'triple abundance': of years, of happiness and of descendants. This decoration can already be found on porcelain of the early Ming period in underglaze red. Compare with a similar example in John Ayers, Chinese Ceramics in the Bauer Collection, vol. 2, no. 151, p. 27. Der Dekor der drei Früchte auf dieser Vase symbolisiert "dreifachen Reichtum": an Jahren, an Glück und an Nachkommenschaft. Dieses Dekor ist bereits auf Porzellan der frühen Ming-Zeit in roter Unterglasurmalerei zu finden. Vergleiche dazu ein ähnliches Beispiel in John Ayers, Chinese Ceramics in the Bauer Collection, Bd. 2, Nr. 151, S. 27.
